We would like to add a competent, effective bookkeeper to join our client services team at our friendly, local and growing accountancy practice based in our Sutton office.
As a practice we pride ourselves on high standards of client service. This full time permanent position is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to an interesting and quality client base spanning many sectors, with sector leading technology. Experience required: Bookkeeping, financial systems (XERO and Sage) and VAT experience is essential as the role will entail recording and maintaining financial records, however training will also be given for the right person. We require a person with a high attention to detail, and the ability to multi task and communicate with our great client base.
The role may involve visiting clients at their premises. There are great opportunities to progress within the practice for the right candidate. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Experience required: minimum 18 months’ experience working in an accountancy practice. It is anticipated the candidate will have already had exposure to preparation of accounts of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, VAT return preparation, Microsoft Office and accounts preparation software. Experience
of use of Sage or Xero would also be an advantage.

We have developed a new exciting dual role for someone who is interested in accountancy and also has a keen awareness in financial services based in Sutton Coldfield. We have a new addition to our services offering comprehensive Independent Financial Advice, this includes Pension, Investment & Protection Advice. We are looking for a competent effective and timely person to join our friendly team in an administration function at our town centre accountancy practice in Tamworth, on a temporary basis for initial training within the accountancy role, with a view to move to our new offices in Sutton Coldfield to also develop the skills and knowledge in the Financial Services side of the business. This role is a demanding role which is across two sides of the business, Accountancy & Financial Services, the candidate will need to have knowledge and experience within one of these areas to apply.
General Office Duties, Answering telephone, meeting & greeting clients, Stationery ordering,
Database (SPS) management, onboarding clients, keeping database compliant.
Work flow administration for the annual self assessment tax return process and accountancy process to ensure deadlines are met.
Communication with relevant organisations (HMRC)
Filing Tax Returns, checking and storing information correctly
Filing of Company Accounts.
Incorporation of companies, updating companies house.
Database (XPLAN) management, onboarding clients and keeping client records updated.
Preparing documentation packs for Advisers ahead of client review meetings
Processing new business
Preparation of correspondence, client letters, emails.
Extracting information from various platforms and providers for information around client portfolios/fund performance.
Knowledge and experience within accountancy or financial services – desirable
High attention to detail – essential
Excellent communicator with individual and team player skills – essential
Sage Practice Solution – desirable, but not essential
Sage Line50 – desirable, but not essential
IT skills in Microsoft Word & Excel – essential
A minimum of 2 years office experience – essential
Good level of English and Maths – essential
Knowledge of GDPR, AML – desirable, but not essential
